The exhibition room welcomes all studio visitors with a large selection of unique handmade ceramics. The exhibition furniture designed by Arthur Seefried was then built by Jos Trautmann, Arthur Seefried and myself. The soft, grey MDF shows beautiful shades of purple in the clay-walled room. It was only sanded and oiled, which gives the material a matte, soft appearance. The furniture serves as an exhibition piece at the top, but also offers plenty of storage space under the exhibition areas. In the rear area, the furniture has a sliding door and thus serves as a room divider between the firing room and the showroom. In the upper area there is a recess that lets in light through a frosted glass. The back offers additional storage space. Raising the floor made the original entrance unusable. We solved this problem by creating an opening in the floor in the door radius so that this door can now serve as an entrance again after decades of being unusable.
